Do you have your heart set on a magical wedding in Pasadena, California?

Looking for a glowy summer elegance or spring lushness? Maybe you’re after a unique fall or winter affair?

The Castle Green is an adorable wedding venue that’s brimming with charm and sophistication. It’s also delightfully vintage and whimsical—a perfect combination for your big day.

Why a vintage feel? Because it was built in 1898! In fact, this wedding venue is one of the oldest standing historic landmarks in Los Angeles County, and still has features from its original construction.

These features include the oldest wrought iron 24 hour man-operated elevator on the west coast, gorgeous plaster, moldings, hand carved fireplace mantels, grills and wood moldings, and original lighting.

Basically, The Castle Green is a truly unique building in Pasadena, and is a place where love birds from all over the country (and the world!) flock to to say their precious “I do’s”.

Photos of a wedding at The Castle Green

As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. So, if you’re looking for a bit of visual inspiration, you’ll find some photographs below that I captured at Zander and Marissa’s wedding.

Yes, indeed, I was lucky enough to be their wedding photographer at The Castle Green—an opportunity I absolutely adored.

A little bit of background info: these two lovely individuals joined souls at this wedding venue because they really loved its historical yet creative and artistic atmosphere.

Being artists themselves, they chose the theme: “royal high elf”, and spoiled their guests with fantasy-inspired décor and details.

And to add to the luster, they all dressed up in middle earth-type garments (including the happy couple).

What an ethereal sight to behold!

I hope I’ve inspired you to choose The Castle Green for your wedding. And if you fancy talking about your wedding photography needs, let’s have a chat! My virtual door is always open.
